Logo design, road signs and website.
The theme for the first Prescott Russell ARTour was 'Fall colours'. The scenery being an integral part of the artist's inspiration. The logo is designed using colours that reflect the changing scenery. Other versions of the logo were created for different applications where a more subtle colour palette was required.

www.artbo.net: Logo Design, web site design, business cards and brochures for clients.

Artbo was designed as a way to consolidate the artist sites I was producing. The artist's are all plein air painters, meaning that they paint outdoors on the spot creating works of art in the elements themselves. The turtle was selected as a theme and mascot for the web site. The turtle with it's shell, adaptable to all environments like many artists who travel in their own shells, their vans, to different painting locations. The turtle is at home in water and on land, just as many artists take from the earth and water elements to create their works of art.

The website is undergoing a redesign at this time to incorporate more of the water elements and reflect the environment in which the art is created. To view details on the web site itself, select the Web Development portfolio from the menu above.

Varations of the ARTour logo.

The full colour version on white was used for road signs and communications. The more subdued color palette was used on the website where the artist's work takes center stage. See Artbo at left for more information on the design concept.

Business cards for artists; a work of art is a great way of attracting attention to an artist's card and is a constant reminder of the style of the artist. Care needs to be taken in selecting a piece of art that reflects the sometimes wide palette of the artist. In some cases, a couple of variations is a good idea.

My studio is surrounded by ducks and they are a constant source of amusement and inspiration for photographs, stories and artwork. MudDuck tales was inspired by their avid and gleeful mud cruising to find bugs and other good eating.

"We arrived at a aerospace trade show in another city far from home to find that we did not have any signage, posters or anything to indicate what our booth was doing there! The local print shop kindly allowed me to work in their shop that afternoon. I had at my disposal a Mac, and full printing facilities. I was a kid in a candy shop for that afternoon and the booth turned out great!"

Designed as a vehicle for the mudDuck book series, the colours reflect the dirt and grass that the ducks love so much. The image of a running chicken on the front page brings across the farm feel and gives the consumer an idea of the types of books found on this site.

A integrated golf site with golf green background. The clubhouse is also a big selling point for this country club so the image was used in the header. The golf course itself appears on the background. Viewers with larger screens will see more of the course background but the content area remains in the center of the screen.

This sample gallery uses the golden mean as it's metaphor. The spiral design from the introduction page is carried through into the heading of the interior pages.
